Hilltop Centre

Following a rebuilding and refurbishment project we now have a modern and versatile Centre with great facilities available for hire by groups or individuals, either on a regular basis or as a one-off event.  There are two separate spaces for hire within the venue. Church Hall

Our newly refurbished church hall provides a warm, light and airy space suitable for events seating up to 80 people such as a small wedding reception, family birthday or anniversary celebrations, afternoon teas, baptism celebrations or funeral gatherings. There is access directly from the hall to a fully equipped commercial kitchen at one end and a set of children’s toilets at the other. Doors on one side of the hall open out onto a patio and large grassed area ideal for socialising outdoors and which would be perfect for a marquee.

Current users of the church hall include a Pre school nursery, a Dance school, Yoga, Adult Ballet  and Baby Ballet.

Our facilities include:
  • Trestle tables and chairs.
  • Access to a wide range of crockery and glassware.
  • A fully equipped commercial kitchen 
  • Level access entrance
  • Use of church car park
  • WiFi
  • TV monitors suitable for presentations/ lectures
 

Coffee Bar

The Coffee Bar space is adjacent to the hall and provides another light and welcoming space for informal meetings or events. There is access from the room to the fully equipped commercial kitchen as well as a brand new coffee bar, housed within the space, which we can be opened to serve refreshments.

Current users of this space include a baby and toddler group, Linking Lives, Art classes, Tuition groups and a Parkinson’s group.

Our facilities include:
  • Tables and chairs that are able to seat 36-40 comfortably
  • A wide range of crockery and glassware.
  • A fully equipped coffee bar with water boiler and 2 fridges.

PARTIES & PRIVATE HIRE AT HILLTOP

Looking for a welcoming, flexible space to celebrate a special occasion or bring people together? The Hilltop Centre offers an affordable and adaptable venue for a wide range of events, with weekend and selected evening availability.

Whether you’re planning a children’s birthday party, baby shower, bridal shower, baptism celebration, anniversary gathering, family get-together, community event, support group, workshop or club meeting, Hilltop provides a relaxed setting that can be tailored to suit your needs.

Our most popular bookings are children’s birthday parties, but Hilltop is much more than a party venue. The combination of our spacious hall, cosy coffee bar and access to kitchen facilities makes it an ideal choice for both private celebrations and community activities. Private hire for parties and celebrations is also available on Friday and Saturday evenings, making Hilltop a great option for marking life’s special moments with family and friends.

CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAY PARTIES!

Children’s birthday parties of all ages can be hosted at Hilltop, with Sunday afternoons during term time being the most popular time. During school holidays, we can often offer greater flexibility, so it’s always worth getting in touch to discuss your requirements or checking the availability calendar below.

Our experience suggests a 4 hour booking (1.30pm–5.30pm) but the length of time is entirely up to you. Please note that your hire period includes both set-up and clear-down time, so you’ll need to factor this into your booking.

The hall comfortably accommodates up to 25 children, plus accompanying adults, or up to 30 children when both the hall and coffee bar are booked together.

Sunday bookings cannot begin earlier than 1.30pm.

Friday & Saturday Evening Celebrations

Planning an evening celebration? The Hilltop Centre is available for private hire on Friday and Saturday evenings, providing a welcoming and affordable space for birthday celebrations, anniversary parties, family gatherings, baby showers, baptism celebrations and other special occasions.

Hire is charged by the hour, allowing you the flexibility to book the time you need. Please remember to include sufficient time within your booking for setting up before your event and clearing away afterwards.

Hire Charges for 2026

Coffee Bar: £35 an hour 

Church Hall: £35 an hour

Church: £88 an hour (if space is hired without chairs in church, we require a minimum 2 hour hire).  If the church childrens areas need to be removed a further small charge will be incurred.

Chapel: £35 an hour
