Hilltop Centre
Following a rebuilding and refurbishment project we now have a modern and versatile Centre with great facilities available for hire by groups or individuals, either on a regular basis or as a one-off event.
There are two separate spaces for hire within the venue.
Church Hall
Our newly refurbished church hall provides a warm, light and airy space suitable for events seating up to 80 people such as a small wedding reception, family birthday or anniversary celebrations, afternoon teas, baptism celebrations or funeral gatherings. There is access directly from the hall to a fully equipped commercial kitchen at one end and a set of children’s toilets at the other. Doors on one side of the hall open out onto a patio and large grassed area ideal for socialising outdoors and which would be perfect for a marquee.
Current users of the church hall include a Pre school nursery, a Dance school, Adult Ballet and Baby Ballet.
Our facilities include:
- Trestle tables and chairs.
- Access to a wide range of crockery and glassware.
- A fully equipped commercial kitchen
- Level access entrance
- Use of church car park
- WiFi
- TV monitors suitable for presentations/ lectures
Coffee Bar
The Coffee Bar space is adjacent to the hall and provides another light and welcoming space for informal meetings or events. There is access from the room to the fully equipped commercial kitchen as well as a brand new coffee bar, housed within the space, which we can be opened to serve refreshments.
Current users of this space include a baby and toddler group, Linking Lives, Art classes, Tuition groups and a Parkinson’s group.
Our facilities include:
- Tables and chairs that are able to seat 36-40 comfortably
- A wide range of crockery and glassware.
- A fully equipped coffee bar with water boiler and 2 fridges.
- WiFi
- Level access entrance
- Use of church car park
CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAY PARTIES!
We have availability for children’s birthday parties on Sunday afternoons during term time. During school holidays, we can sometimes offer greater flexibility so please get in touch to ask (see below for details).
Party slots are for children up to Year 6 and the hire time is 4 hours, from 1.30-5.30pm. The hall can comfortably fit 25 children (with accompanying adults) or up to 30 if both the hall and the coffee bar are booked.
Please note that the 4 hours hire time includes set up and clear away times. Any additional hours are to be agreed in advance and are charged at the standard party rate of £32 per hour. While we’ll do our best to accommodate requests, we’re not always able to guarantee additional hours. It’s also worth noting that it’s not possible to book any earlier than 1.30pm on Sundays.
Total hire charges for parties are:
£128 for the hall space which includes use of tables, chairs and the kitchen. If the weather allows, the front lawn area is available for games and play.
£40 additional cost if the coffee bar space is also required.
£32 additional cost if you are planning to have a bouncy castle outside.
