Virtual tour

Your virtual tour will be coming soon…

What to expect:

When you step inside our church for the first time you’ll receive a warm welcome from our steward and welcome teams. You’ll be gifted with a welcome bag which has gifts in from us to you and lots of flyers explaining who we are and what we do.

8.30 Communion service. This takes place in tne chancel, furthest place of the church as you walk in. We sit up in the choir stalls. There are service booklets with words only and service booklets with pictures, you choose as you come into church. Children are offered worship bags (ones suitable for KS1, infants, and others for KS2, juniors). Inside are different objects and activities to help children engage with the service.

The service is led by one of our priests: Rev Rach (Our team – Mossley Hill) our Rector, Rev Sally (Our team – Mossley Hill) our associate vicar our Rev Jeremy (Our team – Mossley Hill) our Pastoral Coordinator.

They will guide you through the service, letting you know which page of the service booklet, we’re on.

All are welcome at the Communion table, our practice for receiving the bread and the wine is to hold out 1 hand for bread only, 2 hands for bread dipped into the wine and hands held low for a prayer of blessing.

9.30 Family Service. We sit in the middle of the church for this service. Adults with babies and toddlers are invited to use the Play and Pray space, equipped with toys to enable our little ones to play their way through our service.

After an opening prayer, song, saying sorry, receiving God’s forgiveness, singing the Gloria, and saying the Collect prayer for the day, all ages (children and adults) go to their different learning and teaching spaces.

Adults go out to the Hall and children into their age appropriate groups:

In our groups, adults and children, we hear the Bible reading for the day, explore its meaning through a sermon for adults and activities for children, and then pray together. We all come back together again in the church for a final song, blessing and dismissal.

Throughout the service children with special needs are welcome to use the Sensory Space with their adult.

Our Music Collective often plays for this service and everything is projected onto our screens.

After the service refreshments are served in the coffee bar.

11am Morning Worship. This is a more traditional service with organ and a choir. Every other week we partake in Communion together. There are worship bags for children to use (see 8.30 service for more information) and the Sensory Space (see 9.30 service for more information) is also available.

We follow the CoE Common Worship liturgy and the service is led by a member of our worship team (Our team – Mossley Hill). We sing hymns as well as a contemporary song.

There are gluten free wafers, no alcohol wine as well as wine and wafers available at Communion. Simply let the person know what you require when you go up to receive Communion. See 8.30 service for more information about how we receive Communion here.

After the service refreshments are served in the coffee bar. A great place to meet people and to get to know each other.

We look forward to welcoming you. If there is anything you need whilst you are with us to help you worship please let a steward (red lanyard) know.
