Mossley Hill school admissions 

To assist those families who are wishing to apply for a church school, whether primary
or secondary, this page will take you through how we, as your church, can assist you.

It is really important to ensure that your child/children are registered on our
schools admission register. This is done by completing this form. A paper
copy was also put into your welcome bag and spare copies are available from a
steward at church.

Every time you come to church it is your responsibility to ask a steward to record your
child’s attendance.

• Each Sunday go to a steward when you arrive and give your child/children’s
  name/s who will then mark your attendance on the weekly attendance
  paper register.
• If you are already regularly attending church, then your name should be on
  the  attendance register. If you are new, please ask the stewards for a
  registration form. Nb this is a separate register to that used by JAM (our 9.30
  children’s groups)

This weekly attendance register will be manually added to a Master Register of
Attendance each week.

Data

We collect your child’s full name, and date of birth for the purpose of recording
attendance and school year. We collect parents name/s and emails addresses for the
purpose of communicating only church related information. This information is never
shared outside of church.

Church schools have a very clear policy of attendance at church being their main
criteria when considering applications. We do not set the criteria or have any
influence over how this is managed by the schools.

Our part in this process though is to help you and to make sure we have a robust
way to ensure we record your attendance. We will always do whatever we can to
support you if your application is unsuccessful and you go to appeal.
